Position Description & Responsibilities

The Technical Specialist will be the epicentre of DevOps within the EMEA and APAC regions, and will be the thought leader of DevOps by keeping pace the industry ideology. This person will be responsible for influencing and supporting customers in their understanding and adoption of appropriate DevOps frameworks. This role is instrumental in transferring DevOps knowledge to our Technical Account Management team, and will also work with our Marketing department to evangelize and stimulate thinking related to both Compuware and integration to other industry products via various social media platforms


The role involves overseeing the installation to blueprint, configuration, testing, adoption, training and then measurement of success criteria. This would be achieved through co-ordination and involvement with various parties including Technical Account Managers, other specialists, the Project Management team, and the Customer Success organization. This person would be a specialist in understanding the integrations between the non-Compuware and Compuware software components to the point that a conceptual and technical discussion in this area is possible.


Primary Roles/Responsibilities:

  • Act as a DevOps subject matter expert internally, and externally
  • Conduct consultations to create architectural blueprint, and translate into operational plans
  • Facilitate execution of plans through parties within Compuware, the customers, and various points of integration with other software stacks such as Sonar
  • Own the DevOps initiatives to ensure our customers are using the appropriate frameworks.
  • Provide technical DevOps leadership and expertise to our clients, and internal teams.
  • Ability to communicate DevOps terminology to customers
  • Oversee installation, configuration, and testing of platforms
  • Provide training, and measure the success of platforms.
  • Use social media and other platforms to provide thought leadership
  • Coordinate with various teams to ensure overall success
  • Travel across the region, as needed


  • Demonstrated DevOps depth of knowledge and industry experience at an expert level
  • Proven DevOps thought leadership and expertise as evident by speaking at conferences, etc.
  • Excellent decision-making skills and initiative in solving problems
  • Experience at least one SCM platform, Jenkins, or Sonar
  • Demonstrated Agile experience
  • Demonstrated ability to manage several projects simultaneously
  • Mainframe awareness at a technical level, strongly preferred
  • Awareness of Compuware’s Topaz, preferred
  • Proficiency with social media platforms
